Weekly NFL Waiver Wire: Every transaction and a look at which moves relate to the Seahawks

Broncos LB Brandon Marshall and Panthers offensive tackle received extensions and offensive tackle Eugene Monroe is now looking for employment, in this week's edition of transactions.

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

There were two significant transactions that took place over the past week: The Broncos re-signing of linebacker Brandon Marshall and the Ravens release of offensive tackle Eugene Monroe. The remainder of the transactions this week were rather minor, with a few former Seahawks players moving around; B.J. Daniels was cut from the Giants and Tony Moeaki was picked up by the Bears.

My Thoughts:

- The only person I can see Seattle being interest in is Monroe. He's been rumored to them already, but there is a fairly small chance that they actually try to make a move for him since they seen content with Garry Gilliam.

- I would love to see them bring back Daniels if only for training camp. It's hard to tell if that's more likely or less likely due to his extensive "will they, won't they" relationship with the team in recent years.

- It's hard to believe Thomas was a fourth round pick just two years ago. That's reasonably high for a quarterback. (And he went four slots ahead of former Seahawks wide receiver Kevin Norwood.) I don't think it means trouble in paradise for Ryan Nassib that the Giants picked him up, it's just a camp body. This is a guy that the Cardinals and Dolphins have both given up on in less than one year.

- "That other" Brandon Marshall got a significant $32 million. Pretty hefty for a linebacker who doesn't rush the passer, but still less than the $10.75 million per year of Bobby Wagner.

- Good for Oher to get an extension after falling on hard times a year ago, but does his deal set a market for any potential Monroe contract? Again, it probably doesn't matter for Seattle since Gilliam looks set to play left tackle unless J'Marcus Webb looks absolutely terrible.
