Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback and current free agent Tarvaris Jackson was arrested on Friday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly threatening his wife with a gun and telling her, "I'll kill you..."

Jackson, 33, was released on Friday on a $2,500 bond. He was reportedly also drunk and the two had to be separated by another person who was in the home. Also in the home was a 9mm handgun, marijuana, and several children. While this is the first incident of this serious nature that we've heard about publicly in regards to Jackson, it is reportedly not the first time he has gotten into a serious confrontation with his wife. Perhaps that's part of the reason she felt comfortable enough to tell him "You better be accurate (with the gun) because you ain't accurate on the field."
This arrest makes it far less likely that Jackson will be re-signed by the Seahawks this year and more likely that Russell Wilson will be backed up by Trevone Boykin, Jake Heaps, or a veteran free agent. Jackson had thrown just 20 pass attempts over the last four seasons.
