Weekly NFL Waiver Wire: Every transaction and a look at which moves relate to the Seahawks

The dead period in the NFL offseason has officially started.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

This week marks the unofficial beginning of the NFL's dead period of the offseason. Each team has finished up their minicamps and now players get to take a six week vacation before training camps start back. Typically during this period, team's do very little in the way of roster transactions until the start of camp.

Here is a look at the few moves that took place this week, plus my thoughts down below:

Los Angeles Rams

Released/Waived:

- Cut WR J.J. Worton.
- Cut LB Matt Wells.

Detroit Lions

Released/Waived:

- Cut OG Dominick Jackson.

New Orleans Saints

Signings/Waivers/Options:

- Signed DE C.J. Wilson.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Signings/Waivers/Options:

- Signed LB Brandon Johnson.

Released/Waived:

- Cut K Shaun Suisham.

My Thoughts:

- The Steelers released Suisham this week after he failed his physical. His release reminds me how fortunate the Seattle is for having a healthy and reliable kicker in Steven Hauschka.

- This is the dullest part of the NFL offseason every year and these six weeks before training camps always seem to be the longest six weeks of the year. I cannot wait for Seahawks football to pick back up.

- Season 6 of Game of Thrones concluded last night, and I've yet to see it, so I have spent all day avoiding spoilers. That also makes me wonder: When is the appropriate time for it to be ok to spoil something? I say three days after it is released. Let me know what you think the appropriate time is in the comments below.
