Russell Wilson learned to play cricket on Monday

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll encourages his players to do what they want during the offseason, with no restrictions on other activities and sports regardless of the dangers they may impose. The "extreme sport" that Russell Wilson has chosen to take up this July is cricket, apparently.

Wilson stopped by the NorthWest Cricket League tournament on Monday and took a few swings.

The video shows Wilson taking what seem to be the first cricket swings of his life, connecting well on a couple of his takes and missing on a few others; the former college and minor league baseball player wasn't sure when to swing or when not to swing, or if there were even balls and strikes. (Are there?). The cameraman opts to move out of the way of getting a good shot though when Wilson appears to get his best cracks of the bat off.
