Seahawks injury news: C.J. Prosise out at least 7-10 days with hamstring injury

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Rookie running back C.J. Prosise, the team’s third round pick who is expected to play a big role on offense this season as a replacement for Fred Jackson, has unfortunately missed all three days of camp so far with a hamstring injury. Sadly, that injury will keep him out at least another week, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

In the meantime, fellow rookie running back Zac Brooks has supposedly looked great in his absence so far (Thomas Rawls being on the PUP means even more extra reps for Christine Michael, Alex Collins, and Brooks), and could be a factor both on offense and on kick returns if all goes well for him.

One of the biggest camp battles to watch going into this season was going to be the running back depth chart, and so far we may know even less about how things will shake out due to the injury to Prosise and the ongoing hype train for Michael, who is making it difficult for the team to move on from him for the second year in a row.
