Weekly NFL Waiver Wire: Every transaction and a look at which moves relate to the Seahawks

The Buffalo Bills awarded Tyrod Taylor this week with a 6-year $92M deal. Buffalo seems to believe that Taylor is the long-term future at quarterback. Not everything was positive for the Bills this week as it was announced that All-Pro defensive lineman Marcell Dareus would be suspended 4 games for violating the NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy. In a surprise, the Titans traded wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham to the Eagles this week. The Seahawks made did some bottom of the roster shuffling this week most notably bringing back DT Tony McDaniel on a one year deal.

My Thoughts

• I really like the Tyrod Taylor deal. I think he can replicate what he did last year, and if healthy, I see him only improving. The deal looks to be structured so that it can benefit Tyrod for his performance but also not hurt the Bills if Taylor doesn’t live up to the contract. I’m really excited to see what he is going to do this season.
• It was surprising to see that the Titans have moved on from Dorial Green-Beckham after moving up for him in the 2015 draft. I’m speculating but I assume that his attitude from Mizzou may have carried over to Tennessee and the staff refused to put up with it for another year.
• The story of how Tony McDaniel was brought back to Seattle was great. He provided great depth for the team during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. This signing does seem to indicate that Sealver Siliga may not be on the roster for long if he can’t remain healthy. Welcome back to Seattle Tony.
