Seahawks place 7 in ESPN Top 100 NFL Players list

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Noted sports media conglomerate “ESPN” recently released their top 100 NFL players list, and noted football franchise “Seattle Seahawks” had seven players on it, including six in the top 52. That’s basically one in nine “best players” who currently play for the Seahawks.

Rankings: 100-51, 50-26, 1-25

These are them:

14. Richard Sherman, CB

15. Earl Thomas, S

21. Russell Wilson, QB

36. Kam Chancellor, S

46. Michael Bennett, DE

52. Bobby Wagner, ILB

90. Doug Baldwin, WR

Perhaps even more telling than the Seahawks who made the list though are the ones who didn’t: Jimmy Graham, K.J. Wright, Cliff Avril, Tyler Lockett, and Thomas Rawls could all make a solid argument right now. Frank Clark, Jarran Reed, Paul Richardson, Christine Michael, Germain Ifedi, Jeremy Lane, Ahtyba Rubin, and several others certainly make for a good “tier III” for the team and some of them may get to the top 100 down the line.

J.J. Watt ranked as the top player in the NFL, followed by Aaron Rodgers, Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown, and Von Miller to round out the top 5.

Wilson ranked as the 5th-best QB after Rodgers, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, and Ben Roethlisberger. Baldwin is a bit of a surprise as he may have not cracked the top 300 at any point in his career until now.
