For the Seattle Seahawks, “weekends” are all but over until February at the earliest (we hope.) They get back to work on Saturday at the VMAC and we’ll keep this post updated as necessary. Some things we saw on Friday:
- The offensive line rotation was in full effect. Tom Cable insists that they’re just trying some things out, but given that they literally have a new starter at all five positions to begin with, it means that they were already “trying some things out” from day one. If they’re rotating a bunch of guards and tackles around, it has to mean that one or two of those guards and tackles weren’t panning out as hoped. I think it also means that Germain Ifedi has outplayed J’Marcus Webb by a significant margin, so the team might want to see Ifedi at right tackle instead of right guard. It was also good news for fellow rookie Rees Odhiambo that he got some work with the first team at right tackle as well. Oddly enough, the one person who I have yet to hear being pulled from the first team: Justin Britt at center. (Not that Garry Gilliam has necessarily been pulled from left tackle, but he did miss some time with injury and I think he may have been playing some right tackle on Friday also.)
- Eric Pinkins and DeShawn Shead were the starters at SAM and RCB on Friday. Who will be there on Saturday?
- Will any running backs show progress in returning from injuries?
- Will Doug Baldwin return to practice after missing a couple days?

It looks like the Seahawks have added at least five new players, including Jonathan Amosa, the fullback signed on Friday: WR EZ Nwachukwu, TE Joe Sommers, LB Kache Palacio, and RB Troymaine Pope. (Speculation.) The only well-known player in that group is Nwachukwu, who starred on Hard Knocks last year with the Texans.
Players missing include Tre Madden, David Perkins, Montese Overton, and Tavares Barnes, per Stephen Cohen.
