Seahawks add RB to the 53-man roster ahead of 49ers game

After weeks of debate during the preseason about the Seattle Seahawks sudden abundance at running back following the drafting of three earlier in the year and the popular addition of undrafted free agent Troymaine Pope, apparently even that wasn’t enough; the Seahawks added running back Terrence Magee to the 53-man roster on Saturday.

Recently signed to the practice squad, Magee was an undrafted free agent out of LSU in 2015. He was active for four games for the Baltimore Ravens last season, gaining five yards on two carries. The 5’9, 220-lb back appears to be insurance following injuries to Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise. Rawls is questionable for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, while Prosise is listed as the same but sounds like he will be available. However, if there’s any doubt, this gives them the option to activate Magee, likely as a third-down back.

It appears as though Christine Michael will be the lead back against the 49ers, while Magee and rookie Alex Collins may be the only others available to go if Prosise and Rawls are unable to.

Magee, as shown in the lead picture, was with the LA Rams in the preseason.
