Seahawks inactives vs 49ers: Thomas Rawls, C.J. Prosise ruled out

NFL: Preseason-Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks have announced their inactives for their Sunday afternoon matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, and it includes a lot of rookies.

RBs Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise, OLs Rees Odhiambo and Germain Ifedi, TE Nick Vannett, DL Quentin Jefferson, S Tyvis Powell.

This leaves the Seahawks with Christine Michael, Alex Collins, and Terrence Magee at running back. The backup offensive linemen are tackle George Fant and center Joey Hunt. Other active players this week include receiver Tanner McEvoy, defensive tackle Garrison Smith, and corner back Neiko Thorpe.

The 49ers inactives include right tackle Anthony Davis and quarterback Christian Ponder, meaning the Colin Kaepernick continues to be the backup to Blaine Gabbert. Should Kaepernick play and get seriously injured, it could kick in his 2017 guarantees. Another inactive for San Francisco is running back DuJuan Harris, who was a member of the Seahawks last season.

The game begins at 1:05 PM PST.
