Russell Wilson injury: MRI results are in and Wilson “feels great”

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

Pete Carroll was on 710 ESPN on Monday morning and reported that the MRI done on Russell Wilson’s left knee revealed an MCL sprain but that Wilson “feels great” and is recovering well. Leave it up to Wilson to feel great about a high ankle sprain on his right leg and an MCL sprain in his left.

NBA MVP Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors suffered an MCL sprain in the playoffs this year and Mens Health did a full breakdown of what the injury means and what kind of recovery time could be expected. I can’t say if it’s related or not, but did you know that the Warriors blew a 3-1 series lead in the NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers?

It sounds like Wilson will be ready for the New York Jets on Sunday though, as few doctors actually knew he had human ligaments. It’s incredible what modern technology can do.
