Though Ott’s account is not verified, one can safely assume that nobody has made a fake account for a journeyman longsnapper with one career game. Given these circumstances, it seems like Nolan Frese is still in line to be the Seahawks longsnapper in Week 1, though they could still be checking the waiver wire and free agent market over the next few days. One player who does not seem to be in their plans is Ott though, since this tweet would probably be a bad idea if he was about to sign with the team.
Wilson has long been one of the best follows on Twitter for his early reporting and accuracy, though I guess one can never be too careful when reporting on the comings and goings of special teamers.
