I’ve heard of tight ends but tight backs? That appears to be the case for Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham, who was listed as Questionable on Friday to play against the New York Jets on Sunday. Graham’s back injury appeared out of the blue on Thursday as he missed all of practice.
However, he didn’t miss any practice on Friday so he very well may be okay.
Graham had his best game of the season last week, catching six passes for 100 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers. The good news is that this weekend will also likely see the debut of third round rookie tight end Nick Vannett. If there’s any question about the risk of playing Graham, the availability of Vannett may end any possibility of the star tight end playing.
Also listed as questionable were Jarran Reed (hip), CJ Prosise (hand), Mike Morgan (hip), and Vannett (ankle). Thomas Rawls is listed as OUT, as we knew he would be, while Russell Wilson (knee, ankle), and Germain Ifedi (ankle) weren’t on Friday’s injury report and seem likely to play this weekend.
