Enemy Reaction: NFL Playoff Chase Edition, Week 17

The final week of the 2016 NFL regular season was largely devoid of drama relevant to the playoff chase. Most of the playoff spots were locked up, so we only had about a handful of games with any sort of meaningful implications for postseason play, including the Giants sending Washington out of the playoffs, as well as the Packers sending the Lions to Seattle. We'll look back at all of those games in a special Enemy Reaction. Some of them will feature just one team’s reaction, others will have the usual side-by-side stuff. But first, there is one play from a meaningless game that definitely needed an Enemy Reaction...

The Detroit Lions are next for the Seahawks, in what is the first wild card home game for Seattle since a certain Beastquake happened. Detroit hasn’t won a road playoff game since 1957, while the Seahawks has lost only 1 playoff game at CenturyLink Field; a 27-20 loss to the St. Louis Rams in the dreaded 2004 season. It’s not been one of Seattle’s stronger 10-win teams under Pete Carroll, but it’s still playoff football, and I’m pretty excited about Saturday night.
