The Seattle Seahawks defense is extremely banged up after just one half of football against the Indianapolis Colts.

Cornerback Jeremy Lane suffered a hip injury on the opening possession of the game, and he has been ruled out for the rest of the night. Shaquill Griffin replaced him in the lineup, with Justin Coleman as the nickelback. Coleman picked off Jacoby Brissett and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown. Griffin was beaten for a touchdown by Donte Moncrief.

Defensive end Cliff Avril injured his neck trying to chase down Brissett in the 1st quarter, and he’s done for the day. Avril went to Twitter to assure fans that he is okay and that the injury isn’t serious.

As if that wasn’t enough, Nazair Jones was favoring his arm after Brissett was sacked in the 2nd quarter. He did return later on on the half, as did Frank Clark, after he accidentally got kicked in the shin by K.J. Wright.

The Colts lead the Seahawks 15-10 at halftime.
