The Seattle Seahawks beat the LA Rams 16-10 on Sunday, with the heavily-featured moment of the game being Earl Thomas’ strip of Todd Gurley at the half-yard mark early in the first quarter. Thomas was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week and our own Sam Gold did a short video on the play.
Well, NFL Films couldn’t be left out either. The play was featured on NFL Turning Point this week, with the video focusing on Thomas’ penchant for making this play twice now, having done so in 2014, also against the Rams. He then intercepted Jared Goff at a huge moment in the fourth quarter. Doug Baldwin again took focus for the cameras, grabbing a mic to tell everyone that Thomas is a Hall of Fame player.
(Yeah, we agree.)
Though the actual “turning point” for this video wasn’t something that the Seahawks did, but something that a Rams player did not do.
(This will almost certainly not play here and you will have to go to YouTube to watch it, but c’est la vie here it is or at least a link to it):
