Marshawn Lynch was barely a part of the Oakland Raiders offensive gameplan during the team’s Thursday Night Football home game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he definitely won’t be getting any opportunities to improve his 2 carries for 9 yards statline in the second-half, because Lynch has been disqualified.
To set the scene: Kansas City Chiefs DB Marcus Peters committed a personal foul penalty by hitting Derek Carr late on a failed 3rd and 10 QB draw (why are the Raiders calling this play?). A fracas ensued between the two AFC West rivals, and Lynch, who was on the sidelines and not involved in the play, ran onto the field in the middle of the altercation. Lynch shoved an official, an obvious no-no, and he was ejected.
This was the Peters penalty, by the way.

Whether or not he knew it was an official is something only he knows, but the fact of the matter is that he’s out of here. ESPN’s Kevin Seifert says Lynch is looking at possibly over $100,000 in fines for his actions.
As the Raiders head into halftime trailing the Chiefs 20-14, the Seattle Seahawks legend apparently has already left the stadium.
Out of here! Marshawn Lynch just left the locker room upset. He left in street clothes and is heading to his car.— Henry Wofford (@HWoffordKRON4) October 20, 2017
Lynch’s return to the NFL to play for his hometown team is not playing out the way he (or Raiders fans) had hoped.
Update: Never mind! Lynch is still around!
FYI, Marshawn Lynch did not leave. He has been watching the whole game from the stands— Marcus Thompson (@ThompsonScribe) October 20, 2017
