I don’t know if C.J. Prosise is going to be the answer to the Seahawks’ woes at running back, but at least he’s going to be healthy enough on Sunday to give it a shot. Seattle announced their inactive players ahead of their game against the Giants, and Prosise is not on it.
There are six players listed as inactive, including cornerback Jeremy Lane, instead of seven because the Seahawks currently only have 52 players on the roster.

Lane (groin) will be missing his second straight game, meaning that Shaquill Griffin will be starting and Justin Coleman will be a regular on the field. Luke Joeckel is out, as expected, and he’ll miss at least a couple of more games while the Seahawks rotate Mark Glowinski and Ethan Pocic at the left guard spot in his absence.
Garrison Smith, Jordan Roos, Tedric Thompson, and Isaiah Battle are the other inactives.
The Giants announced their inactives, and they’ll be without four key starters, not including the ones who’ve they lost to injured reserve like Odell Beckham, Jr. and Brandon Marshall. The biggest one is Olivier Vernon, the premier pass rusher who is missing another game with an ankle injury. They’ll also be playing without Sterling Sherpard, by far their best receiver left on the 53.
