The Seattle Seahawks are looking to go undefeated for the whole of October, as well as retake first-place in the NFC West. Standing in their way are the 3-3 Houston Texans, fresh off of a bye week and aiming to keep up with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans in the AFC South.
Homerism aside, this is one of the best matchups of the whole NFL weekend. Rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson has played magnificently since assuming the role of starter, but he has dealt with neither a defense like Seattle’s, nor a home-field advantage like CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks passing game is coming off its best performance of the season, with Russell Wilson throwing for more than 300 yards and 3 touchdowns, but the ground game is still struggling. It’ll be interesting to see how Seattle handles a defense without J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus.
