The 2017 NFL trade deadline ends at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT on Tuesday, October 31st. It was already an active Monday with the Seattle Seahawks trading Jeremy Lane and two draft picks for Houston Texans left tackle Duane Brown. Immediately after that happened, the San Francisco 49ers dealt a 2018 second-rounder to the New England Patriots for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, dumping Brian Hoyer in the process.
This is your place to discuss the final hours of the trade deadline, including news, rumors, and anything pertaining to the Seahawks or the league in general.
So far the biggest trade news of Tuesday morning is the Miami Dolphins shipping running back Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2018 fourth-round pick. It’s definitely a surprise move but Philadelphia, the team with the league’s best record, gets a running back who had three 200+ yard rushing games in 2016. An NFL source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that this will be “the most active trade deadline ever.”
Buckle up, folks!
Whoa. The Carolina Panthers have traded Kelvin Benjamin to the WR-needy Buffalo Bills.
