The Seattle Seahawks running back injury curse continues, as Mike Davis’ regular season debut was cut short due to a groin issue. This occurred on a successful screen pass to Davis in the third quarter of Seattle’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
Davis departs with 6 carries for 18 yards, but an impressive 41 yards on 2 catches, both on screens. It’s just so frustrating that Davis was just activated off the practice squad last week (while C.J. Prosise was placed on IR), and in an instant he becomes the latest Seahawks player to get dinged up and unable to take part in the rest of this pivotal showdown.
With Thomas Rawls listed as a healthy scratch, the only running backs available for Seattle right now are Eddie Lacy and JD McKissic. Thus far, Lacy has barely been on the field, so McKissic looks to be the main back for the rest of this game.
Atlanta currently leads Seattle 31-23 in the 3rd quarter.
