The Seattle Seahawks fell at home on Monday Night Football to the Atlanta Falcons in a deflating 34-31 defeat. Down eleven with 3:49 to go Seattle went 75 yards in forty-nine seconds for a touchdown, and then followed that up with a three and out defensive stop to get the ball back at their own twenty five with plenty of time to drive for either the winning touchdown or attempt a game-tying field goal.

The Seahawks quickly moved the ball across midfield to set up first and ten at the Atlanta 49 with 1:06 to go, however, consecutive short completions to Jimmy Graham and J.D. McKissic burned forty-five seconds and gained only seven yards. That led to an eight yard completion to Paul Richardson which put Seattle at the Atlanta 34 yard line with seven seconds left, and set up Blair Walsh for a game tying attempts. Walsh’s kick was right down the middle, but came up just short in the cold, heavy air. And Twitter reacted.

Some were comedic, some were mocking and some were quick to point out the game should not have come down to a field goal attempt for the tie. In any case, here are a variety of reactions from the Twitterverse.
