Anyone who watched the Seattle Seahawks game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday knows that it was not much of a game at all. The Rams jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter, adding another three touchdowns in the second quarter to effectively put the game out of reach before halftime.
It was not pretty, and there started to be some chippiness for a moment at one point, but with the game so far out of hand, neither side really seemed all that interested in running up a fine tab for a game that ended up with a five touchdown differential.
In any case, it was an ugly day for Seahawks fans, and here is a smattering of Twitter reactions to the game. Some are amusing, some are sad and some are just not very fun to read.
To start, here are some facts from NFL Research regarding the game today:
The #Seahawks 42-7 loss to LAR is their:

• Worst loss of the Pete Carroll era
• Most points allowed (tied) in a game in the Carroll era (Wk 12, 2010 vs KC)
• Worst home loss since Week 1, 1997 (41-3 L vs NYJ)
• Worst loss since Week 16, 2009 (48-10 L at GB) https://t.co/1EgFloOzgT
And now on to the rest:

The #Seahawks tough guy attitude after the whistle when the game is out of reach is getting a little old.

Imagine telling 2016 you that in 2017 the Jaguars and Rams would have home playoff games while the Packers and Seahawks would just be ... home.

Seahawks/Cowboys face-off next week in The "We really trash, but our fans refuse to believe it" Bowl I'm here for it

Can’t sleep. A championship-caliber era of #Seahawks football, seemingly coming to an end - one with so many memorable moments, yet just as many “What Ifs.”

I hate hypotheticals, but the last four years have been riddled with them, leaving a sad feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Seahawks suck again. Seattle is a UW football town again like its been majority of last 100 years.

Sore losing by @Seahawks last week was a sign of the future. We finished them.

[Channeling @zjwhitman] For a team that seems to invest a lot in special teams, the Seahawks aren't very good at special teams

I should have bought stock in life jackets. We got 12s jumpin off the #Seahawks ship like they are on the Titanic. We've been beaten down like this before it's just this time it didn't include a dramatic comeback.

Zeke back with fresh legs I expect 500 yards vs the Seahawks

This Seahawks asskicking has brought me back to a simpler time, when I was growing up and we always got our asses kicked. Nostalgic, really.

And now the Hawks and their fans are left to watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons game on Monday night, hoping for a Bucs win to give Seattle hope of some sort of shot at a wild card spot.
