Bruce Irvin and Marshawn Lynch were teammates for four seasons in Seattle, and clearly the two grew close. It’s not surprising as Irvin has always carried himself in a similar way to Marshawn, a playful-but-still-don’t-fuck-with-me kinda attitude. That playfulness in Irvin came out on Thursday when news broke that the chances of Lynch returning to the NFL — and playing with Bruce on the Oakland Raiders — are getting very close to becoming a reality.
Bruuuuce took to Twitter to basically say “I’m thankful” for Marshawn Lynch.
Yes lawd!

A fan then mentioned the idea of Irvin coming back to the Seahawks, to which Irvin was polite in his response, but still very real about where he wants to be.
Love Seattle but I'm town bidness all day! RT @JassonG010: @BIrvin_WVU11 I heard part of the trade is we get you back...

This would also seem to indicate that Irvin, a friend of Marshawn, can be considered a resource for inside info and therefore the fact that he feels this strongly about Lynch’s return and move to Oakland means that it’s even more real than it was Thursday morning.
The one time I interviewed Bruce Irvin was after a 49ers game in 2014 in which Colin Kaepernick was sacked six times. I asked him what he thought of five different Seahawks getting sacks that day, including himself. His response was, “It ain’t no fun if the homies can’t have none.” Irvin is just a homies kind of guy. That showed on Thursday.
