NFL schedule release 2017: Seahawks reportedly will play at Packers in week 1, host 49ers in week 2

We have NFL regular season schedule leaks coming out from reputable football insiders, and it appears as if the Seattle Seahawks will be traveling to Lambeau Field for a week 1 showdown with the Green Bay Packers.

With Giants at Cowboys expected to be the first Sunday Night Football game of the season, Seahawks at Packers will almost certainly be the lead 1:25 PM PT broadcast on FOX. This means Eddie Lacy is going to be playing against his former team, but more importantly, Michael Bennett vs. Martellus Bennett! Bennett Brothers!

Hopefully the third time is the charm for Russell Wilson and company when playing at Green Bay. They let a 17-13 lead slip away in 2015 and fell 27-17 on Sunday Night Football, and uh ... you know what happened in 2016.

As for week 2, it looks like Kyle Shanahan’s San Francisco 49ers will be the unfortunate team that has to be the first Seahawks opponent at CenturyLink Field for the new season

Seattle has not lost at home to San Francisco since a 19-17 setback on Christmas Eve 2011. They are undefeated in home openers under Pete Carroll, but the 49ers are also the last team to spoil a Seahawks home debut (back in 2008).

The full 2017 NFL regular season schedule will be unveiled at approximately 8 PM ET.
