2017 NFL Draft, 2 round mock: Seahawks get premier OL and LB to open things up

Over the last few weeks, SB Nation’s NFL editors/contributors have been running a mock draft and posting the results, team-by-team. The two-round mock has recently completed, and the full results are below.

My picks for the Seahawks were quite simple: Garett Bolles fell to Seattle at pick 26 and I decided to let the slip end with a starting spot in Tom Cable’s line. With some hindsight, I might take a longer look at T.J. Watt, Obi Melifonwu, or Chidobe Awuzie, but in the end it’s not like Bolles would be a bad addition. I just wonder if the ceiling for someone like Watt, or even Adoree’ Jackson or Jabrill Peppers, is too good to let slide by at that point. Either way, Bolles to the Seahawks should not upset anyone if it happens, he’s the best tackle in the 2017 class.

The big surprise/shock/happy mistake was that Jarrad Davis fell to me at pick 58. I think the Florida linebacker, much like what some were saying about Jarran Reed a year ago, could be a top-15 pick. Instead, Seattle gets a steal in round two.

Here is the full two-round mock:
