Surprise! The Seattle Seahawks traded down in the opening round of the NFL Draft, swapping spots with the Atlanta Falcons, who used the #26 overall pick to take linebacker Takkarist McKinley out of UCLA. As was the case last season, the Seahawks will be picking at #31. Ryan Ramczyk, Forrest Lamp, Obi Melifonwu, and Kevin King are all still on the board as Seahawks targets.

Coming into the draft with just seven picks, Seattle acquired picks #95 (3rd round) and #249 (7th round) from the Falcons, so they’ll have a whopping five 3rd round selections to play with on Friday.
As of this post, Seattle hasn’t made its selection, but here’s how Twitter reacted when the Seahawks did what has become an annual tradition, which is to trade down or out of round 1 entirely.
The NFL Draft doesn't officially begin until the Seahawks trade down.
