With the 102nd pick in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected defensive lineman Nazair Jones out of North Carolina. At 6’5” and 304 lbs, the Seahawks seem to be beefing up the interior of their line. This fits in with the McDowell pick at the top of the 2nd round as well.

While Jones isn’t SPARQy, he is a mammoth human that will help Seattle’s defensive line remain stout after the departure of Tony McDaniel in free agency.

Has ability to set the edge and man both gaps. Good twitch in his shed to disengage and make the tackle. Above average tackle production for interior. Rarely beaten soundly by a base block.
