How significant an impact do you foresee for Marshawn Lynch in 2017?

Currently not-a-Seahawk Marshawn Lynch, that is

yeah I don’t see any way this ends well for the defender here

How much Mode is left in the Beast?

Are we looking at a guy who’s revitalized after a year of no competition — or is he just a year older and slower?

Will the Raiders use him as a lead back, or manage his load aggressively? Or some of both?

Will he even make it to Week 2?

Will he run with the same abandon, trucking helpless fools who are just a wee bit less bout that action?

All the questions, none of the answers. Life is so unscripted. Hard to say anything with certainty when it comes to Marshawn Lynch. But give it your best/worst shot anyway.

Huge. He turns out to be the missing piece that puts them into the AFCCG or farther.

Plenty. But end of the day, it’s still Derek Carr’s team.

Some; but nothing special. He’s gonna get got almost exactly as much as he gets his.

Not much at all. His tank is almost empty or he won’t get used enough to make a big difference.

Insignificant. He’s done and can’t compete at the highest level anymore or withstand a full season.

One of the greatest challenges for Seahawks fans will of course be seeing Lynch in another uniform. Easy to say on May 23 that you won’t root for him in Oakland, but check back here in the fall when you see him carrying the rock again. Conversely... easy to say today you will continue to root for him, but check back here in the fall after you’ve seen him wearing an old rival’s colors, doing work for another franchise and showering love on another fanbase.

Well. Except you know everyone’s rooting for him when the Raiders host the Patriots in Week 11.
