Not satisfied with just having Robert Turbin, the Indianapolis Colts have added another former Seahawks running back to the roster. The transaction was confirmed on Thursday.
Michael was re-signed and then released by the Green Bay Packers, who picked him up off of waivers when Seattle let him go in November. If by any chance he is good enough to make the roster and be part of a rotation which features Turbin, who is coming off an eight-touchdown season, and the ageless Frank Gore, then Michael will be returning to CenturyLink Field against the Seahawks in week 4.
With Marshawn Lynch in Oakland and fullback Derrick Coleman in Atlanta, it is unlikely that Indianapolis will ever be able to recreate the entire 2014 Seahawks backfield, so they’ll have to settle for calling it the NFC West reunion tour.
Indianapolis not only has Michael and Turbin, but they also recently hired former Seahawks executive Ed Dodds to be the team’s vice president of player personnel.
