In the second and third Daily Gulls Polls ever, back on May 19 and 20, you were asked to identify your favorite Seattle Seahawks draft choice. Turning that question around, not quite 180 degrees but almost, today’s poll is going to request the name of the drafted player you think is the least likely to make the final 53-man roster for Week 1.
To inject a little more spice into things, we’re removing the two seventh-round picks, WR David Moore and RB Chris Carson, because of their draft status and the loaded positions they both play. Many of you are high on Moore and/or Carson, and that’s fine, but each one would be too obvious of a choice, as the lowest picks in the most stacked rooms.
So, is it one of the four defensive backs chosen? Is it the low-round lineman? Is it the mid-round wide receiver, a selection and a position the Seahawks haven’t exactly hit on with consistency? Who will lose a heated — ahem — “campetition” and end up on the practice squad or another team’s roster for the opener?
Reminder: we’re just looking for who you think might miss the cutdown to 53, not be expelled from the organization entirely. Many draft choices make the PS and receive a promotion as the year progresses. You’re not being asked to give up on anyone. Just to express a little less faith in one of the draftees.
It could be Malik McDowell (it won’t). It could be Justin Senior (it won’t). It could be Nazair Jones (it won’t)! Dammit, who came up with this depressing poll anyway?
