Former Seattle Seahawks running back (and current Oakland Raider, as weird as that sounds) Marshawn Lynch was playing in Steve Zakuani’s charity soccer match on Sunday, and the result went exactly as you’d expect.
Lynch came into the game in flip flops, ran down the field, was passed the soccer ball, picked it up with his hands, ran it into the net like it was the end zone, then got a red card — which he promptly stole, threw in the air, and then ran off the field for being ejected.
If you forgot how much fun it’s going to be to have Marshawn back in football this year, then this was a joyous reminder.
The Raiders open their preseason schedule on August 12 against the Arizona Cardinals, a game that Lynch may not play in because it’s the preseason opener. They end their preseason against the Seahawks on August 31 ... a game Lynch may unfortunately not play in because it’s the preseason finale.
