Seahawks-Vikings: Amara Darboh leaves game with possible concussion, won’t return

NFL: Seattle Seahawks-Minicamp Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

After missing the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers with a sternum injury, 2017 third-round draft pick Amara Darboh made his Seahawks debut in Friday night’s home game against the Minnesota Vikings. His first target unfortunately doubled as his last, as the wide receiver was hit hard by Antone Exum. It should’ve been a penalty for a helmet-to-helmet hit, but it was not called.

Darboh is being evaluated for a possible concussion, so he will not return to the game. Not the ideal start to the former Michigan Wolverine’s professional career.

Not only is Darboh out, but left tackle George Fant suffered what appeared to be a serious right knee injury after Justin Britt inadvertently rolled up on it. Fant was carted off the field, with an air cast on his leg. Backup TE Marcus Lucas hurt his ankle on the same play, and he’s also done for the day.
