Which Seahawks preseason game are you most excited for?

The Seattle Seahawks open their preseason schedule on August 13, just eight days from the posting of this article. Each of those four games carries some significance, so which are you most excited to see?

Preseason Week 1 - Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Chargers

Not only does this game represent the first Seahawks game of the year, but it also represents the first-ever Chargers game as “The LA Chargers at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA.”

Preseason openers mean that starters are almost as protected as they’ll be all year, so we will be seeing a lot of Trevone Boykin, Austin Davis, Tre Madden, and Garrison Smith. Maybe not all bad things — Seattle’s depth is intriguing, meaning we could also see a lot of Chris Carson, Cyril Grayson, and Shaq Griffin. And I don’t mean to downplay the potential of Boykin or Madden or whoever, just that the football quality, in general, is down in preseason Week 1.

Preseason Week 2 - Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks “home opener” of 2017. Russell Wilson potentially plays the whole first half and gets his first real test against a very good Vikings defense. On the other side of the field, I’ll definitely be interested in seeing what Dalvin Cook looks like in game action against perhaps the best run defense in the NFL.

The game is in Seattle and while Minnesota is hardly a “rivalry” it also kind of is with a number of intriguing matchups between the teams and some historically-significant player-team switching over the last decade-plus.

Preseason Week 3 - Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks

The “Dress Rehearsal Game.” Wilson may play some in the second half. By now we have a better idea of the running back rotation with Eddie Lacy, Thomas Rawls, and C.J. Prosise -- including which of those guys is healthy. The Chiefs provide another good defensive test. It’s possibly the closest we’ll get in the preseason to seeing what Seattle will look like during the regular season. Tyreek Hill vs the Seahawks defense is a fun thing to watch. Bonus: Patrick Mahomes against Seattle. Also a home game.

It was preseason Week 3 vs Kansas City five years ago that solidified Russell Wilson’s position as the Week 1 starter over Matt Flynn that season, changing the franchise.

Preseason Week 4 - Seattle Seahawks at Oakland Raiders

I could say a lot of things here: Preseason finale, so we’re only a week away from real football. Classic AFC West rivalry. The last game before the Seahawks make their first and only round of cuts from 90 to 53, meaning this is a huge week for a number of key players. But we all know what the story is here:

Beast Mode. Does he even suit up though?
