With Thomas Rawls healthy and ready to make his first appearance of the 2017 NFL season, the Seattle Seahawks have decided to make Eddie Lacy inactive for today’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. This comes after Lacy rushed for just 3 yards on 5 carries in last week’s loss to the Packers. Lacy can say goodbye to $62,500 in incentives for today.
Seahawks invested good $ in Eddie Lacy. Almost $3M fully guaranteed. But Seattle saves $62,500 every game he's inactive.— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) September 17, 2017
JD McKissic is also inactive, which means the Seahawks RB rotation will consist of Thomas Rawls, Chris Carson, and C.J. Prosise. I’m definitely not going to complain about that trio. You do have to wonder about Lacy’s future with the team having seen today’s news.
Also of note is that Richard Sherman is active and expected to start, having been a question mark all week with a hamstring injury. Seattle also has three inactive offensive linemen, so Matt Tobin and Ethan Pocic are the only backups dressed to play on the OL.
Here are the full set of inactives for both teams:
Seahawks: JD McKissic (RB), Eddie Lacy (RB), Tedric Thompson (FS), Terence Garvin (LB), Jordan Roos (G), Oday Aboushi (G), Isaiah Battle (T)
49ers: Kendrick Bourne (WR), Ahkello Witherspoon (CB), Lorenzo Jerome (DB), Pita Taumoepenu (LB), Reuben Foster (LB), Erik Magnuson (OL), Xavier Cooper (DL)
