In the past couple days, I have shown coaches film views from a lot of plays on my twitter account so I’m compiling them here so they’re all in one place. With the exception of the two long runs by Carlos Hyde, these clips focus on the Seahawks’ offense from Sunday. I omitted some plays that I already posted in my EPA Replay article from earlier this week, so go check that out if you haven’t already.
These are presented without commentary, because they speak for themselves. Doug Baldwin is good. Chris Carson is good. The offensive line is bad. The playcalling is sometimes questionable. Russell Wilson seems a bit off. And Chris Carson is good.
Chris Carson is good.
The two long Hyde runs:
Since I have it open, here's the 61 yard Hyde run pic.twitter.com/LWWilq1J90

Doug Baldwin appreciation segment
Why don't they make the whole airplane out of Doug Baldwin pic.twitter.com/Nul847QQRz

Doug Baldwin buries a guy and then after the play turns to him and is like "I got you!" pic.twitter.com/KbTiqeB7uU

Route combinations
Team bailed out by a Prosise dumpoff, but how is this supposed to succeed? What is the plan here? Why is Baldwin sitting short of sticks? pic.twitter.com/QD6IGfQ2Ji

Okay guys, it's 3rd and goal. Doug and Jimmy, go stand in the same spot so 1 defender can cover you both pic.twitter.com/RdU1FD5wQ1

SF rushes 6 guys in obvious passing situation (2nd and 10) and none of the receivers are ready for the ball by the time pressure gets home pic.twitter.com/QesJ2FjXDS

Offensive line carnage
SF didn't even bother activating Aaron Lynch week 1 but here he is eating Odhiambo's lunch pic.twitter.com/TrTpkui4SX

Ifedi not only gets beat right away but draws a holding call while not actually doing anything to impede defender pic.twitter.com/feWwTpOANe
— Ben Baldwin (@guga31bb) September 20, 2017
Seattle pretty lucky Ifedi didn't get called for holding here- Russ scrambles for 1st down instead of 2nd and 20 (this is the TD drive) pic.twitter.com/mCu4RsS0JW

The run was to the other side so it didn't matter here, but Odhiambo making guys look like Aaron Donald pic.twitter.com/PMfFlhQZyo

Russ didn't really have time because Buckner was doing mean and nasty things to Mark Glowinski pic.twitter.com/j5p5hMdvkw
— Ben Baldwin (@guga31bb) September 21, 2017
Here's Glowinski on literally the next play. Somehow Seattle scored a TD on this play pic.twitter.com/uFceHSyBFU
— Ben Baldwin (@guga31bb) September 21, 2017
2 plays later, Glowinski demolished again but Carson is #good and picks up the 1st anyway pic.twitter.com/rK9ZMWX7Mo

Chris Carson section
Nice hands by Chris Carson here, who is good at everything. Not an easy catch in the rain pic.twitter.com/HXzmnKzvxi
— Ben Baldwin (@guga31bb) September 19, 2017
4th quarter, Seattle finally turns to read option with Carson and receivers spread out wide and all of a sudden the running game works pic.twitter.com/nCyEIMkdzj

Willson. This is the same play that produced the big run in GB right? Definitely the same Willson block pic.twitter.com/WnzHy8Et6d

Russell Wilson mechanics/decisions
Not sure if it was rain or what but something about Wilson's mechanics seem...loose? Can't really put my finger on it (overthrow on 3rd dn) pic.twitter.com/x5doXr8qUu

Russ stares at a wide open Lockett, doesn't throw the ball, and then eats a sack pic.twitter.com/VtJHooeP1b
— Ben Baldwin (@guga31bb) September 19, 2017
1st and 10, 9 mins left, down 3, Seattle calls up deep sideline route to Paul Richardson but Wilson doesn't like the look & runs for 5 pic.twitter.com/cldGfL9l30

Running game problems
this must have been the play that prompted your running at the 8 yard line tweet pic.twitter.com/GesJZ5fW0y

I wonder how many failed FB runs there are (this is my 1st time watching 1st half, this is all very interesting) pic.twitter.com/FoDnyafLfp

As pointed out on @peltoncast, this team isn't very good at fullback runs (plus the league as a whole is trending away from them) pic.twitter.com/hmZD6sC4an

(seriously though, stop using a fullback) pic.twitter.com/SxAKcSEp63

Jimmy Graham blocking appreciation
Here is Jimmy Graham successfully blocking #3 overall pick Solomon Thomas on a run play (cc: the haters) pic.twitter.com/Dci1eKe6Gs

Graham injured his ankle, came back in game & run blocked. Then after the game some Seahawks fans started calling for the team to trade him pic.twitter.com/pzQa3baN8Y

Sometimes it’s fun to sit back and appreciate these dudes
