The Seattle Seahawks 2017 season in a fitting manner on Sunday, as Blair Walsh missed what would have been a go ahead field with barely thirty seconds on the clock. It brought to an end one of the most frustrating recent seasons in Seahawks football, including the first time the Hawks failed to qualify for the playoffs since 2011.
However, as the team’s luck turned cold in 2017, fans can always count on social media and its hot taeks to keep them warm through an offseason that is a couple extra weeks longer this year. As such, we turn to Twitter for reactions to the team’s loss, Blair Walsh’s missed game winner, and what lies ahead for the team.
With huge portions of the roster set for turnover, a large number of veteran players entering the final year of their contracts and no real rhyme or reason behind what the identity of the team is, there are obviously a number of changes that could come both on and off the field for the Seahawks.
In any case, here were some of the reactions from Twitter.
When Blair Walsh goes to get a new contract with the Seahawks.

Time to update this tweet as Walsh missed another FG. This time a gm-winner vs #Cardinals and if #Falcons lost to #Panthers, would've made the difference if #Seahawks make the playoffs or not.

Walsh finished with only 72.4 FG %.
Hauschka has 87.9 %, including all 3 on Sunday https://t.co/315Vn9qWGp
Btw, Walsh's missed field goal moved us from 20 to 18 in the draft. He FINALLY did something right!. Draft needs to center on offence. O-line and Rb's. Fill in the rest. Without Wilson we are 3-13 at best. Imagine Seattle with a decent o line and Karmara? Game changer.

Blair Walsh 2017 splits:
— John Gilbert (@SeahawksMachine) January 1, 2018
Temperature at kickoff 65 or warmer (or in a dome): 12-13, 92.31%
Temperature at kickoff 64 or cooler: 9-16, 56.25%
We all saw what happened to all the teams that decided to pass on @Kaepernick7 #Packers #Broncos #Ravens #Colts #Dolphins #Seahawks #Cardinals & #Texans all could've or should've signed him! So I'm calling it the #CurseOfKaepernick Also plenty of stars were hurt. Sign him in 18!!

Sorry to all my Seahawks friends.

But you kill AZ in Phoenix almost annually.
However.........
The Cardinals are 6-4 at Century Link since 2008. https://t.co/IW0LWDAhS4
Another eye opener to how bad the cowboys are on offense: the cardinals beat the Seahawks yesterday scoring 26 with Stanton and kerwin Williams as their QB and WR.... that is terrible. We are not good. I like Dak as a person. But think he is on the Quincy Carter level as a QB

A 2nd string QB with a torn ACL beat the @Seahawks in Seattle. The Cardinals really own century link field. https://t.co/robx9ED3Y8

Watching all these coaches and coordinators get fired makes me eager with anticipation for what will happen with the Seahawks. My new years resolution was to fire cable and preferable bevell.
— Andrew Westie (@drewwesty) January 1, 2018
Just woke up from the best dream. @bcondotta was letting #12s #seahawks know Bevell has resigned. Opened eyes & went WTF is Bob in my dreams
— #12thman (@DaddyKGY) January 1, 2018
I think the Seahawks should fire Darrell Bevell, Tom Cable, and Chad Morton. It’s time for change on offense.
— Danny Lentini (@DannyLentini) January 1, 2018
When Pete Carroll retires this offseason, would you rather have Tom Cable or Darrell Bevell as head coach of the Seahawks?
— Seattle Sportsnet (@alexSSN) January 1, 2018
I could throw a rock outside my window here in Croatia and find a better play caller than Bevell. I could keep five rocks and have a better OL. The OL is key in the off season. If Schneider doesn't use his first round pick on the best OL'er available at 18, fuck him.
— Matt Stan (@matthewCroCan) January 1, 2018
If the Seahawks aren't going to move on from Cable/Bevell, then trade Russell Wilson. Don't half ass it. Completely reload the thing.
