This week, SB Nation is asking each blog to denote its “best of” for the Super Bowl and today it comes down to the best Super Bowl moments; well, for the Seattle Seahawks the choice of “which game?” is easy, but “which play?” quite difficult in a crowded field of a 43-8 blowout win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48.
Well, this play by Cliff Avril and Malcolm Smith stands out to me for several reasons

The Broncos were in Seahawks territory, moving towards potentially making it 15-7 before the half. Peyton Manning was really going for it here on 3rd and 13, but even an incomplete pass could have led to a field goal and left Denver with two timeouts before halftime.
Instead, Smith’s incredible pick-six flipped the score from a potential eight or 12-point lead to a 22-point lead and only 30 minutes remaining in the game.
Of course, Percy Harvin’s second half opening kickoff return is also a moment that made most of us go “Holy shit, the Seahawks are going to win the Super Bowl” but I think Smith’s pick-six did plenty to seal the deal.
Which Super Bowl moment stands out to you?
