It’s the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide. The game is in Atlanta, so Georgia has the theoretical home-field advantage.
If the Seattle Seahawks are looking for high-end running back talent, then this is a game worth watching. Georgia has Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, while Alabama has Damien Harris and Bo Scarborough. Alabama’s vaunted run defense gives up less than three yards per carry, so if Georgia can get their backs going, this will be a hell of a matchup.
Alabama was denied the national championship at the literal last-second against Clemson in 2017. They disposed of them in this year’s semifinal. Georgia rallied from 31-14 down to beat Oklahoma 54-48 in a double-overtime classic at the Rose Bowl. My favorite defensive player on either team is Georgia LB Roquan Smith, and he was the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Discuss the game here and then swoon over ideal Seahawks players from either team. Kickoff is supposed to be after 5 PM PT, so this game should end at about 11:45 PM PT when you add in that Kendrick Lamar is doing the halftime show.
