Seahawks-Raiders gameday inactives: Nick Vannett, Dion Jordan out

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

So much for Nick Vannett being “ready to go” according to Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

Those were Carroll’s words earlier in the week when Vannett was listed on the injury report with a back problem. Now the third-year Seahawks TE is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders at Wembley Stadium in London, England. That leaves Darrell Daniels and newly promoted Tyrone Swoopes as the only TEs available for Seattle, so expect George Fant to line-up as a “tight end” (or extra offensive lineman), which is what we saw at time against the Los Angeles Rams.

Also out is DE Dion Jordan, who has a knee injury. It’s really unfortunate that he’s this injury-prone, and it’s not as if the Seahawks have tremendous pass-rushing depth.

Here are the inactives for both teams:

Seattle Seahawks

RB C.J. Prosise

S T.J. Green

TE Nick Vannett

LB K.J. Wright

DE Rasheem Green

G Jordan Simmons

DE Dion Jordan

Oakland Raiders

S Karl Joseph

WR Brandon LaFell

CB Nick Nelson

G Kelechi Osemele

OL Ian Silberman

DB DeAndre Washington
