On Sunday the Seattle Seahawks went into Ford Field and faced off with the Detroit Lions in a match up that could have playoff positioning implications later in the season. Both the Hawks and the Lions entered the game at 3-3 having won three of their last four, and on this day it was the Seahawks that would continue with their winning ways.
Defeating Detroit puts Seattle in a somewhat unique position, as they currently hold the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC if the season were to end today. However, with the Lions dropping to 3-4 with the loss, the Seahawks have yet to win a game over a team that currently holds a winning record with three of their next four games against teams that currently have winning records.
In any case, the young and talented defense was on display yet again, forcing two turnovers, with a third coming via special teams play and Russell Wilson once again posted a gaudy stat line on 14 of 17 passing for three touchdowns and a perfect 158.3 passer rating. But enough about the game, let’s get to the always fun reactions on Twitter.
The Seahawks didn't win today because of their running game. They won because they're better than the Lions in virtually every phase of the game, including the running game.— Field Gulls (@FieldGulls) October 28, 2018
I’m completely expecting Seahawks fans to diminish this win because the “Lions aren’t that good.” Wrong wrong wrong. They were rolling. Seahawks were great today. Don’t fight it.— Brian Nemhauser (@hawkblogger) October 28, 2018
Lions stink man. Can’t believe Russell Wilson picked our secondary apart like that— Josh Yukihira (@JoshHelaku) October 29, 2018
Russell Wilson had as many touchdown passes as incompletions. He’s really good. But if you thought the Lions played exceptional coverage today, we did not watch the same game.— Nate Atkins (@NateAtkins_) October 29, 2018
Exactly... He's good Titus. He gets the Lions twice coming up.. I sat through the Lions game in my season seats as Russell Wilson totally clowned us today.— David. H. Martin (@DavidHMartin7) October 28, 2018
I had a feeling watching #Lions film that some QBs were just missing reads and throws against them -- good QBs like Brady, Rodgers & Garoppolo -- and if someone started to hit with accuracy and vision, they'd be in trouble. Russell Wilson hit those plays today. Perfect QB rating.— Nate Atkins (@NateAtkins_) October 28, 2018
This game really shows how elite Russell Wilson is. Sure the Lions played bad and the coaching blew hardcore but give credit to the Seahawks franchise QB.— Forrester (@fsolmen12) October 28, 2018
QB Russell Wilson teve rating perfeito (158.3) hoje contra Detroit Lions. pic.twitter.com/0FvMCxfRa5— Legadão do SB (@legadaosb) October 28, 2018
The seventh round of the 2017 draft continues to pay off big for the Seahawks. David Moore and Chris Carson -- both seventh-rounders last year -- helped Seattle extend its lead over the Lions to 28-7. Moore, who caught a touchdown earlier in this game,... https://t.co/QH73FbbFtR— Brady Henderson (@BradyHenderson) October 28, 2018
I was told the #Packers were stupid for not making a trade for a star. How has Snacks Harrison worked out for the Lions today?— Peter Bukowski (@Peter_Bukowski) October 28, 2018
I'll hang up and listen between Chris Carson touchdowns.

And just for those fans who have been hating on talented right tackle Germain Ifedi for much of the past two and a half seasons, here’s this clip that is worth watching:
And to close it out, it’s not really a link to anything important, I just like the picture of Sebastian Janikowski.
