Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL, powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Seahawks fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
We don’t have a whole lot that’s groundbreaking to report for this week’s FanPulse. I suppose the obvious thing to state is that the Seattle Seahawks’ dramatic win over the Carolina Panthers upped the fan confidence polling from 81% to 86%, which is 7th among all NFL teams. In fact, the graph has trended upwards for the last three games, and one of those was the loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

If you’re wondering what this did to Panthers fans, their confidence levels sank from 22% to 15%, which is near the very bottom of the table, and what makes this whole thing insane is the Panthers are the only team with a winning record yet confidence is that low.

In fact, starting next week (assuming a win over the San Francisco 49ers), we’re going to take a look at how losing to the Seahawks causes the opposition’s fans to fly off the handle and no longer feel confident in the direction of the team. Be on the lookout for that!
Oh yeah, and in case you’re wondering, Seahawks fans predict an average margin of victory of 12 points against the 49ers, who didn’t have a point spread survey question, but instead this question: “Are you rooting for your team to win or to lose for a draft pick?” 58% of Niners fans chose “root for the win.”
