Earlier Sunday I took a look at the coverage that defenses have shown the Seattle Seahawks on every single one of Russell Wilson’s 16 touchdown passes so far in 2018, and now it’s time to take a quick look at what the defense was doing on each of the five rushing touchdowns the Hawks have scored so far.
Rushing touchdown 1: Chris Carson against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3 who are in a two high safety defense.

Rushing touchdown 2: Mike Davis against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4 who are in a two high safety defense.

Rushing touchdown 3: Mike Davis against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4 who are in a single high safety defense (the second safety is playing on the line of scrimmage).

Rushing touchdown 4: Mike Davis against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5 who are playing with two high safeties.

Rushing touchdown 5: Chris Carson against the Detroit Lions in Week 8 who are in a single high safety defense (the second safety is on the line of scrimmage).

So, in short, the defenses the Hawks have faced when they scored a rushing touchdown were either two high safety defenses, or were single high safety defenses with the second safety on the line of scrimmage in run support.
