Down three touchdowns with under five minutes to go, the San Francisco 49ers had put together a respectable drive. However, on a 3rd and 3 from Seattle’s five-yard line, Bobby Wagner ended that drive, intercepting Nick Mullens’ pass and taking it back 98 yards for a touchdown.
Wagner’s touchdown was the exclamation mark on a fantastic day for the consistently great linebacker. Prior to the interception, Wagner had already collected a sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery.
The 98-yard return set a new team record for longest touchdown return, passing Brandon Browner’s 94-yard pick-six against the Giants in 2011. Here’s Wagner making a house call untouched, to seal an emphatic victory for the Seahawks over their NFC West rivals:
PICK-SIX BOBBY WAGNER!!!

Incredible play by @Bwagz. Jumps in front of the pass to the running back and brings it back for the score. Longest in team history for the #Seahawks. 98 yards... Well worth the delay of game penalty lol. #SFvsSEApic.twitter.com/WQazBbSf9r
