On Sunday Night Football it was the Seattle Seahawks hosting the one time division rival Kansas City Chiefs with significant playoff implications on the line. The Chiefs have already secured their playoff spot, but could have secured home field advantage through the playoffs with a win. The Seahawks, meanwhile, could secure a return to the playoffs with a victory, after having watched the 2017 playoffs from home.
And, welp.
Psssst.

However, somebody might want to let Cable Thanos know the NFL is trying to steal his line.

Fans, of course, celebrated the team making the playoffs.

and called "middle of the road"....
...IS GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS.
Y’all didn’t think the boys were gonna make us wait another year for playoffs did you?
— WALTER JONES (@BigWalt71) December 24, 2018
Congrats, Gents! #Seahawks #PlayoffReady #HawkGang #WeTravelWell
Seahawks make it back to the playoffs without Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Michael Bennett, Kam Chancelllor and Cliff Avril. Pretty crazy.

The rest of the NFC when they realize the Seahawks are in the playoffs https://t.co/LC0HjFNLyQ

And just in case, if because of the limited amount of time Doug Baldwin has seen the field this season, some readers have forgotten how good ADB is, he’s REALLY REALLY good.
OH MY, DOUG BALDWIN

The two headed monster of the Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett was unreal tonight.
— Parker Lewis (@ParkerLewisJR) December 24, 2018
Baldwin: 7 catches for 126 yards, and 1 TD
Lockett: 4 catches for 99 yards (plus another 41 penalty yards)
Doug Baldwin will be the first person to hold my newborn

I am watching Doug Baldwin's presser and he looks like he hasn't slept in approximately 100 days
— Lifelong Beating KC to Make the Playoffs Fan (@zjwhitman) December 24, 2018
Doug Baldwin has passed Darrell Jackson for third all-time in @Seahawks receiving yards.
— Aaron Levine (@AaronQ13Fox) December 24, 2018
And the young little whippersnapper they call Tyler Lockett is pretty good as well.
Russell Wilson throws an absolute moonshot and Tyler Lockett hauls it in! pic.twitter.com/VNCtB2ay1u
— Heart of NFL (@HeartofNFL) December 24, 2018
Tyler Lockett is averaging 13 yards per target this year (899 yds on 69 targets).
— (((Rudy Gamble))) (@rudygamble) December 24, 2018
The only current player with a 50+ catch season and higher YPT is Jordy Nelson in 2011 (13.2)
But let’s not forget about the defense, as Bobby Wagner, Frank Clark and the rest of the Seahawks defenders certainly did a fantastic job to hold Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense in check for most of the night.
Bobby Wagner was the best player from the legion this whole time
— Lil Intro Vert (@gdotlee) December 24, 2018
It's probably just my imagination, but it seems like Bobby Wagner has made every tackle in this game. Dude is everywhere
— Jeff (@Gerb3X) December 24, 2018
Add His teammate Bobby Wagner to the list https://t.co/MSjDtroz9u

— D-Rose SZN (@d_rose_szn) December 24, 2018
Bobby Wagner has 86 solo tackles and 0 missed tackles this season.
— Porter Larsen (@Larsen_ESPN) December 24, 2018
0 missed tackles. It’s week 16.
The former @USUFootball Aggie and current Seahawk is a future HOF’er.
But apparently not everyone is happy about the Seahawks doing well.
GOD IM SO FUCKING SICK OF THE SEAHAWKS FUCK RUSSEL WILSON FUCK DOUG BALDWIN FUCK BOBBY WAGNER FUCK
— Morgan Vest (@fearthevest9) December 24, 2018
Welp, that’s too bad for whoever Morgan Vest is because the Seahawks will play a near meaningless game in Week 17 against the Arizona Cardinals before most likely heading to Jerry World to take on the Dallas Cowboys in one of the NFC Wild Card games. However, if they manage to lose that near meaningless game and the Minnesota Vikings upset the Chicago Bears in Week 17, in which case they would most likely travel to Chicago for a rematch against the Bears.
