SB Nation’s Dan Kadar (@mockingthedraft) posted his latest mock on Monday and he has the Seattle Seahawks doing two things that fans might like or expect.

First, Kadar has Seattle trading down with the Atlanta Falcons from pick 18 to 26, picking up a third rounder in the process. This would help satisfy the Seahawks in their search for additional day two picks after trading them both away in 2017.

Next, Kadar has them selecting Notre Dame tackle Mike McGlinchey with the pick acquired from Atlanta. McGlinchey is considered one of the top offensive linemen in this year’s draft and could potentially start on the right side from the beginning before taking over for Duane Brown if an extension isn’t reached.

I am a fan of the trade down but I would perhaps make a different decision at pick 26. The first thing I’d think of is another trade down for more picks, and the next would be looking for a pass rusher. I don’t see the need at offensive line to be all that great in 2018 and they need to find players who can contribute immediately due to their lack of cap space this offseason.

However, if they go the offensive line route, McGlinchey could be a consideration. We’ll have a better idea after the combine.
