“It was about sticking with my brother. The bond and love I have for him is way bigger than some scholarship.” - Shaquill Griffin
A few weeks before this year’s NFL Draft, SportsCenter ran a very touching special about the journey of Shaquem Griffin, the one-handed linebacker and twin brother of Shaquill, a fast-rising corner for the Seattle Seahawks. At the time of this piece, they had no idea that they’d be reunited days later after the Seahawks took Shaquem in the fifth round.
There is a version of the piece on YouTube, but this tweet by the UCF Football account is a bit longer and worth a watch, or a re-watch if you’ve already seen it.
"I'm not just a feel-good story."

You need to see this @Shaquemgriffin #SCFeatured as told by Tom Rinaldi pic.twitter.com/KWuZCpVrvH
Griffin is an inspiration in the piece, but I can’t help but feel a bit more hyped as a Seattle fan after seeing him like this:

The Seahawks open the preseason on August 9 against the Indianapolis Colts, perhaps the debut of the Griffin bros back together again on defense.
