Less than three weeks ago, NFL UK issued a statement acknowledging the possibility of Seahawks-Raiders on October 14 being moved from Tottenham’s new stadium to Wembley Stadium, the primary home of NFL games in England.
On Monday morning, that move was made official. In a statement first released by Tottenham Hotspur, “critical safety systems” were cited as the reasoning behind construction delays, the relocation of two scheduled Spurs home matches, and the Week 6 matchup between Seattle and Oakland.
NFL UK followed up on Spurs’ announcement, making the move official and providing information relating to tickets for the game.

The Seahawks and Raiders were set to take part in the first NFL game at Tottenham’s new stadium, which is the first in England with a retractable football field for NFL games. Instead, they’ll face off in the first of three games played at Wembley in 2018.
