It’s never simple with Earl Thomas, and that’s what makes him such a lovable figure.
When Thomas broke his leg in December of 2016, he sent a mid-game tweet talking about retirement.
As Thomas was being carted off against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, he appeared to flip off the Seattle Seahawks’ sideline.
Just before he was loaded onto the cart, Pete Carroll stood over him, among other players gathered. Thomas’s injury comes just weeks after he ended a holdout, as he looked for long-term security in the last year of his contract.

Is this how the #Seahawks career of Earl Thomas will end?

This was pointed to the #Seahawks bench by the way. Since he got hit on the job and they refused to give him a proper contract. pic.twitter.com/XfPVm57BMJ
