The 2018 Seattle Seahawks regular season is here at last! Today (Sunday, September 9th) sees Russell Wilson and company take on the Denver Broncos at the notoriously difficult Mile High Stadium.
This is a new-look Seahawks defense, with many veterans retiring or released, but Earl Thomas is back after his offseason contract holdout. Offensively, the wide receiver position has been somewhat revamped, and fans are looking forward to a hopefully improved running game through Chris Carson and rookie Rashaad Penny. The Seahawks are looking to get back into the playoffs after a 9-7 season in 2017, while Vance Joseph’s Denver Broncos are tryoing to bounce back from a dismal 5-11 campaign. Their new QB in town is Case Keenum, who figures to be an upgrade from the Trevor Siemian/Paxton Lynch/Brock Osweiler trio. Even with a bad season, the defense was still quite strong given how poor the offense was, and Von Miller’s new pass-rushing mate will be rookie DE Bradley Chubb.
